Modular Design
SCENTROID SC302 has two modules, each built into a Pelican Case for mobility and ease of deployment.Control Module houses SCENTROID’s PLC, touch-screen panel, and nose piece as well as all pneumatic hardware to draw in and mix the sample air with clean diluting air.
Mobile Air Supply Module
Air supply Module includes oil-less air pump, air dryer, and active carbon filter to provide clean odour-free air. Deployment only requires i) connecting the ¼” air hose between the two modules and ii) plugging them into AC power outlet.
Industrial Control System
SCENTROID SC302 is controlled by a powerful Siemens PLC to provide real-time control without the risk of software crashes. Industrial 8” colour touch-screen panel provides multi-language and user friendly interface for panelists and test administrators.
Feed-back control of all air flows
High-accuracy mass flow controllers not only monitor but also dynamically adjust sample and diluting air flows. Solenoid air valves switch between sample air and clean air to provide automatic purging and minimize sample consumption.
SCENTROID SC302 is the first truly mobile olfactometer, which is built for in-field use and meets all international standards.
