Online calculator for estimating the zone affected by odour

The calculator estimates the zone potentially affected by an odour emission and plots the area in an interactive google map.

The procedure is as follows:

1. Zoom in and place the marker on the specific odour source, either by clicking the map or dragging the marker

2. Enter emission data as cubic meter flow of air per hour, and concentration of odour in the emission as odour units

The calculation is very conservative. It is based on the guidelines from Department of Environment and Conservation, NSW

Proper calculations based on CFD or dispersion modelling should always be done prior to any real plant modifications.
